TEAM

Vera Meczner

She has been working in the field of arts management for over twenty years. As an artist manager, she is among the few professionals who navigate effortlessly across a wide range of genres – from independent theatre and mainstream pop music to films and contemporary music – contributing to the career development of numerous artists.

She earned her degree in Business and Economics at the Budapest Business School. Her professional journey began as an intern at the Óbuda Cultural Centre, followed by her role as production manager of the Armel Opera Competition and Festival between 2006 and 2010.

She completed her Master's degree in Cultural Policy and Management at the University of Warwick. During her studies in the UK, she interned at the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, one of the world's leading contemporary music ensembles.

Upon returning to Hungary, she founded the Gradus Artist Agency in September 2012.

Since 2016, she has been active in education: she is a mentor in the classical music management program at Werk Academy, a regular guest lecturer at the Institute for Art Mediation and Music at Eötvös Loránd University, and has taught at various Hungarian art universities as a visiting lecturer. In addition, she regularly mentors and provides individual consultancy for artists.

In 2024, she earned a Sustainability Manager certificate from Green Brands Academy. Shortly thereafter, she co-founded ReStageGroup with three other cultural professionals – a platform focused on sustainability and innovation in the performing arts sector.

Her book Artist Management was published by Cser Publishing in 2025.
